My babysitter was the mall. Growing up in retail, it was no surprise that I would start my staffing career in the fashion industry. It was familiar, and I loved every second of it! But, the retail landscape has changed, and few retailers have figured out omnichannel retailing. The store experience is not what it used to be. Most people I know would rather jump in front of traffic than go to a retail store. For years I have been looking for someone that could get me excited about stores again. Can retailers drive revenue out of stores and GROW? Can retailers drive new revenue into other channels from stores? Can we finally realize what good "experience" means at the store level? The incomparable MICHAEL FERNBACHER has some thoughts about this. Jump into our chat about retail design and revenue. See Michael's sketches of today and the future of stores.

"Louis Vuitton for the Mail of America"! You made me laugh, Adam. So true. I worked at target. A new coach bag was the thing. I am a former VP of Stores. I am familiar with Michael's work and it was a spot on chat. Good ideas. Sick of retailers chasing anything new. Love to see some smart ones do smart things.

Another fashionista here. Fabulous chat. Love to see his ideas actually implemented. This is now stuff, not Star Wars fantasy.

So great speaking with you Adam. Your prompts and questions inspired me to think about retail, engagement and immersion in new ways, challenging where we have been and where we need to go. Thanks for your time and especially all the energy you bring as an interviewer!
