Great information! I am currently unemployed and have interviewed for VP, COO roles, so this was very helpful. However, regardless if how man years I have in leadership, and how much I try to clearly show that on my resume, I still get asked about my leadership style and at times this is challenging to answer because I don't know what answer they want, OR, what they're looking for.

Hi Sonya, when I look for leadership skills I look for someone who Is always examining the status quo, and then suggests, initiates and executes new solutions, either independently or by leading a team (regardless if the team is made up of colleagues or direct reports or outsourced). I am always looking for leaders who are not just looking to get the task at hand done, but figure out how to scale it for growth and efficiencies.

I am in transition at the moment. It is wonderful to hear success stories, keeping positive while looking for a new position is difficult to maintain. There are a lot of ups and downs!

I am currently in transition and looking for a leadership position. As a previous Executive, I find it very challenging landing a new executive role. I can relate to what Amy experienced.
